MHSD provides behavioral health services to everyone in our community. If you have no insurance or have limited coverage, you may qualify for our Sliding Fee Program — a discount on standard charges based on household income and family size. MHSD serves as the single point of entry for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Eligibility to receive supports and services from MHSD is determined by an assessment as defined by the Louisiana Revised Statue (R.S.) 28-451.1-455.2. Services and supports are not based on your income, or your insurance status.
