Receiving support and services

In many cases, callers to our Care Center are referred to existing community resources that are available to meet their needs. In some cases, callers require services specifically offered by MHSD and its partner agencies. Services that may be recommended by a clinician include the following:

  • For adults: Psychiatric evaluation, medication management, intensive case management, respite beds, transitional housing, drug screening and evaluation, intensive outpatient services for addictive disorders, residential treatment for addiction, detoxification referrals, and pharmacy assistance.
  • For children: Psychiatric assessment and testing, individual and group therapy, medication management, multi-system case management for offenders and respite beds.

Participation in these services is determined through individual assessment by specially-trained clinicians. Eligibility for assessment and services is determined, first, by calling the Care Center.
